KURSAAL CANNSTATT offers Bavarian lunch and dinner in a cozy traditional setting: sauerbraten, Wienerschnitzel, Swabian pastas, venison with cranberries, and for the kids, our special Kursaal burger. Cakes and coffee can be had throughout the day, and a wide variety of fine wines and beers.
In May 2014 the KURSAAL opened a spacious beer garden, the first in Baden-Württemberg to serve the famous Augustiner Bräu, draft from the oldest brewery in Munich, founded seven centuries ago. With a stage for live music and more than 200 seats spread under venerable shade trees, the garden—and its beer—are not to be missed.
And that’s not all. The KURSAAL itself, once the center of an historic spa, is now fully restored with facilities for catering birthdays, balls, and weddings. You can stroll through a nearby park, relax by the indoor pool, and if you want to visit the local sights, Gottlieb Daimler’s house is just a short walk away. Here Daimler invented a high-speed petrol engine and launched the automotive firm that gave us the Mercedes and eventually merged into Mercedes-Benz.
